Sanctify Your Space: A Path to Owning Your Life

Welcome to February friends & family,

February is the month of love, and I’m proposing we expand the definition beyond romance- because it’s all upside. I ask you: what if love was something we infused into every space we touch? Our homes, our work, our thoughts—every part of our life is shaped by how we care for it, right? From my experience, it isn’t about getting it all right all the time; it’s about intention, and it starts in the heart.

I choose the word ‘sanctify’ for my February theme because it means to set apart, to purify, to dedicate something to a higher purpose. In Aramaic—the original language of Jesus—there was no word for “mind” as we think of it today. Instead, the heart was seen as the guiding force behind turning intention into action. This means true transformation doesn’t start with just thinking differently—it starts with feeling, with being, with aligning ourselves to a deeper truth.

My Aramaic teacher, Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz, describes a concept called the ‘I Can’-ing (translated from the Aramaic root malkutha), meaning a place of infinite possibility—a space where everything needed is already present, waiting for us to step into it. When I intentionally live in this way—trusting my heart, being fully present, and owning the spaces I inhabit—life feels more effortless, serendipitous, right.

And I want this for you.

Love the Space You’re In

Sanctifying your space is about more than cleaning and organizing (though, let’s be honest, that helps!). It’s about making your environment a reflection of who you are becoming. It’s about taking ownership of what surrounds you—your physical space, your thoughts, your habits—so they serve your highest purpose.

Here’s how I bring this into my own life:

1. Sanctify Your Home

Your home is the physical representation of your inner world. When I keep my space tidy, free from unnecessary clutter (and pests, naturally!), everything else feels more effortless. It’s not about rules—it’s about creating an environment where I can breathe, think clearly, and feel at peace.

➡️ Small Shift: Choose one space to refresh today. Maybe it’s your desk, your car, or your kitchen. Make it a space that supports your peace of mind.

2. Sanctify Your Thoughts

Just like our physical space, our thoughts shape how we move through life. Negative loops, self-doubt, and comparison can pile up like clutter. But we can clear them out, replacing them with thoughts that bring clarity, action, and purpose.

➡️ Small Shift: When a limiting belief surfaces, ask: Is this true? Is it serving me? What thought could I replace it with?

3. Sanctify Your Words

Words create atmospheres. What we speak—about ourselves, about others—has a direct impact on our spaces. When I started consciously choosing words that built up rather than tore down, I noticed a shift in how I felt and how people responded to me. I don’t always get it right, and when I don’t it undermines the 100 times I got it right.

➡️ Small Shift: Try this: For one day, only speak words that bring life—to yourself, to others, to your work. See what changes.

4. Sanctify Your Time

Time is the most valuable space we inhabit. If we don’t set apart time for what truly matters, distractions will fill the gaps. Being intentional about our time is an act of love—one that says, I honor the life I’ve been given.

➡️ Small Shift: Before starting your day, ask: What is the ONE thing I can do today that aligns with my purpose? Then protect time for it.

This February: Make It Sacred

This isn’t about adding more to-dos to your list. It’s about creating a life that feels right. A life where your space supports you, your thoughts lift you, your words build, and your time is used with intention.

I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes all month—how I bring this into my daily life, the little shifts that make a big difference, and how you can step into the I Can’ing space of infinite possibility.

Because here’s the truth: You don’t need more. You just need to claim what’s already yours.
