Embracing Mindshifts: A Journey of Transformation and Growth

Hello, wonderful community!

As we step into August, I am thrilled to announce this month’s theme: Mindshifts. This idea has been inspired by the incredible work of Mona Patel, a true Reframing Ninja who has helped clients from NASA to Nike shift their mindsets in minutes. Mona’s dedication to transformative work and her impact on diverse communities and behaviors has profoundly inspired me, shaping the direction of our conversations this month.

Why Mindshifts?

Life is a series of continuous transformations. Each day, we are presented with opportunities to shift our perspectives, learn something new, and grow. Whether it’s preparing for back-to-school season, celebrating the joy of reading on Book Lovers Day (August 9th), or reflecting on the beauty of self-care on I Love My Feet Day (August 17th), August offers us numerous moments to embrace change.

From Light-hearted to heavy-hearted Shifts

Mindshifts come in many forms, from the light-hearted to the deeply profound. Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing personal stories of my own mindshifts—some that are light and fun, and others that have been cry-my-eyes-out challenging but ultimately rewarding. Here are a few highlights to look forward to:

  1. Back-to-School Preparation: A time for parents and children alike to adjust to new routines and embrace the excitement of new learnings, new friends, sometimes a whole new community!
  2. Book Lovers Day (August 9th): Celebrating the joy of getting lost in a good book and how literature can transform our minds. I’ll be sharing passages from my own books, excited to reveal the newest!
  3. I Love My Feet Day (August 17th): A reminder to appreciate our bodies and the small steps we take every day towards our goals, among other things only a top shoe salesperson like myself could know about feet & mindshifts.
  4. National Honeybee Day (August 19th): Reflecting on the vital role bees play in our ecosystem and how we can shift our behaviors to support their survival.
  5. International Peace Month: Discussing the importance of inner peace and transformation that happens here, radiating outwards to create a world that’s a reflection of our hearts.

Consumer Behavior and Market Transformation

As many of you know, my journey founding EarthKind has been one of constant innovation and transformation. The work we do to provide humane, effective, and naturally smarter pest prevention solutions is deeply rooted in the idea of shifting consumer behaviors towards more sustainable practices. This month, I’ll also be diving (literally) into podcasts and discussions around the broader market transformations we are witnessing and how EarthKind is leading the charge.

A Nod to Mona Patel

I want to take a moment to extend my gratitude to Mona Patel, whom I met through vYve by Vayner, for her inspiring work. Her ability to help people shift their mindsets quickly and effectively is truly remarkable, and it has sparked this month’s theme. Her journey with clients ranging from NASA to Nike is a testament to the power of transformative thinking, and I am excited to share how her influence has touched my life and work. Check her out, I think you’ll love her too.

I invite you all to join me on this journey of mindshifts. Let’s embrace the power of change, share our experiences, and support one another as ‘kindness rebels’ rebelling against outdated ways, and making our own paths.

Stay tuned for more stories, insights, and inspirations throughout August. Together, we can have fun making meaningful shifts that lead to lasting positive change.
